The Bark Yard Difference

There is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to caring for dogs. That’s why we have more than one program for our Campers, based on each dog’s individual needs and comfort level.

Our goal is to send home tired dogs, but never send home dogs who are so exhausted that they are too tired to for dinner or to irritable to enjoy cuddle time with you! We plan for balanced days of play and rest for the well-being of each dog that visits us.

Group Play Daycare

Highly social dogs participate in our Group Play Daycare, with canine friends of the same size, who share complementary characteristics, temperaments, and play styles.

Dogs play in small groups and participate in fun activities that are hand-selected for each group, to provide quality play that is both physically and mentally stimulating.

We incorporate training games, scent-tracking games, sports-themed activities, water-themed fun, and agility, plus brainy puzzles, snuffle mats, puzzle treats and much more, all to ensure an enriching and fun day for our Campers.

Group Play Daycare is as low are $60 per day for attendance one to three days per week or $57 if your dog attends four or more days per week.

Hybrid Daycare

We understand that some dogs may enjoy playing with other dogs, but also become either bored or overstimulated with a full group play experience. That’s why we developed our Hybrid Daycare Program.

This unique program is a great fit for adolescent dogs, high energy and highly intelligent breeds, and dogs that are bit anxious or nervous because social play is new to them.

We’ve combined our Group Play and our Solo Daycare Programs to create a Hybrid of the two, which includes playtime with small groups of dogs as well as one-on-one enrichment sessions with a counselor.

Every interaction includes opportunity for learning new skills and behaviors while experiencing all the fun and engaging interactions in both programs.

Our Hybrid Daycare Program is only $22 more per day than our Group Play Program.

Solo Daycare

We understand that some dogs simply prefer the company of human friends instead of other dogs, and we respect that! We will never force a dog into a situation where they are not comfortable. Our Solo Daycare program inclues personalized enrichment sessions and light basic training based on your goals, plus a daily leashed sniff walk.

If we find that your dog likes playing with certain dogs but not all dogs, we’ll do our best to find a friend or two for them, for brief interactions. Either way, our Solo campers enjoy a fun-filled enriching day of play as they participate in one-on-one play sessions, doing what they enjoy most!

Our Solo Daycare Program is only $32 more per day for a full day of one-on-one personalized care.

Space is limited for this program due to the additional team members necessary to deliver this type of highly individualized care.

Puppy Preschool

We love puppies and have designed our Puppy Preschool to set your newest pup up for a lifetime of success.

This program is designed for puppies as young as 12 weeks, all the way up to 6 months. The first several months of a puppy’s life is the best time to develop skills that will serve them throughout their adolescent and adult years..

We combine a mix of playtime with other puppies and confidence-building activities with our team that align with your puppy’s age, temperament, and disposition, preparing them for real-life experiences, such as visits to the veterinarian or the groomer.

Puppy Socialization

Besides playtime with other puppies, we’ll introduce carefully selected, well-behaved adult dogs who serve as mentors, helping puppies learn essential social skills, manners, and boundaries. In a safe, controlled environment, puppies begin to understand dog body language and how to read social cues, while building the confidence and respect they need to interact safely as they grow.

Recommended attendance for Puppy Preschool is two days a week and is only $70 per day for a mix of play, socialization, and basic training.

Schedule an Evaluation

Give us a call or complete the online form so our Reservation Specialist can contact you and learn all about your dog. We’ll help you schedule a Trial Day which includes a Daycare Evaluation and the first day of Daycare for only $69.

When you arrive, we’ll meet with you and review what you can expect during the day. We’ll take our time getting to know your dog, all in a safe and controlled environment. By the end of the day, our goal is to have identified the types of experiences and the Daycare Program that is best for your dog. Your dog will set the pace for these interactions, and will we let you know if we recommend an additional visit before determining the very best program for your pup.

We recommend that dogs attend Daycare at least once a week. We don’t want them feeling like the new kid in class each time they visit, but that a fun day at The Bark Yard is a part of their regular routine.

We have found that when dogs attend on a regular basis, they arrive knowing what to expect, instead of needing to reacclimate during each visit to ensure their safety, and that of all the dogs that are with us. Regular attendance creates cohesive activity sessions that are safer and more enriching for each dog.
